Johnny Benson is a retired American professional stock car racing driver who competed in the NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Truck Series. He was born on June 27, 1963, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Benson began his racing career in the late 1980s and made his NASCAR debut in the Busch Series (now Xfinity Series) in 1993. He moved up to the Cup Series in 1996 and had moderate success, earning multiple top-ten finishes.

Benson found his most success in the NASCAR Truck Series, where he won the championship in 2008 driving for Bill Davis Racing. He also won multiple races in the Truck Series and was a consistent contender for the championship throughout his career.

After retiring from full-time racing in 2010, Benson has remained involved in racing as a driver coach and TV analyst. He was inducted into the Michigan Motor Sports Hall of Fame in 2010 and the Michigan Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2012.
